지노믹트리, '얼리텍 대장암검사’ 리뉴얼 “편의성↑”

검체 채취과정 개선 사용자 편의성 향상

지노믹트리(Genomictree)는 11일 대장암 체외진단 제품인 ‘얼리텍 대장암검사’의 분변수집키트 리뉴얼 버전을 출시했다고 밝혔다.

회사는 지난 2019년에 상용화된 기존 제품의 분변채취 스푼, 분변수집 튜브, 라벨카드 등 구성품을 재구성해 사용자 입장에서 더욱 편리하게 검사를 진행할 수 있도록 리뉴얼 했으며, 분변수집 과정 또한 더 간편하게 할 수 있도록 효율성을 높였다고 설명했다.

이번에 변경되는 얼리텍 대장암검사 제품은 대장암 고위험군에 속하는 40대 이상의 성인과 육류 및 인스턴트 가공식품을 많이 섭취하고 음주가 잦은 젊은 층에 맞춰 편의성을 강화했다. 분변수집 키트를 개선해 제품 이미지를 재정립한다는 계획이다.

이전 버전과의 가장 큰 차이점은 검체를 여러 부분에서 채취해 분변 수집튜브에 가득 채취하던 기존 방식과 달리 한 번에 채취하더라도 DNA를 정밀하게 검출할 수 있도록 보존 용액의 성능을 향상시켰다는 점이다. 검체를 채취할 때 분변의 양을 5분의1로 줄여도 기존 제품과 동일한 성능의 결과를 확인했다고 회사는 설명했다.

또 기존 모델에서는 제공된 폐기봉투에 분변채취 스푼을 담아 버렸던 반면, 현재는 분변채취 스푼을 분변수집 튜브에 한 번에 담아 넣어 제출하면 검사결과를 받을 수 있도록 변경했다. 아울러 검사를 이용하는 사용자를 고려해 사용 설명서의 가독성을 높이고 전체적인 디자인을 수정하는 등 이용자 편의성 부분을 개선했다.

얼리텍 대장암검사는 지난 5월 한국보건의료연구원(NECA)로부터 평가유예 신의료기술 대상으로 선정돼 병원에서 원하는 환자를 대상으로 비급여 사용이 가능하게 됐다. 지노믹트리는 이번 제품변경으로 검사의 편의성 증대와 함께 검사를 이용할 수 있는 환경이 개선됐기 때문에 이전 보다 얼리텍 대장암검사가 활성화될 것으로 기대하고 있다.
